HAVING FUN ISNT A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME

I read this quote as I was casually scrolling through my TL, it really made me realise how we have been choking ourselves into this “Productivity Box” I mean yes we all need to be productive and adapt to this new change but who knew we had a lot of motivational speakers and masterclass warriors amongst us, patiently waiting for the perfect time to manifest their necessary skills by uprooting and spearheading this productivity agenda. Suddenly, a lot of motivational articles are circulating around - “How to boost your productivity during this pandemic” “If you don’t learn at least five different skills during this period, you wasted your time” “10 tips to boost your productivity”.
Guys, It’s a pandemic; I am sure we are all panicking and anxious about what’s going on around the world. We are all trying to survive in our own little ways, taking each day as it comes even though it feels scary and uncertain. Our productivity is at an all-time low and most of people are struggling right now, somehow we’ve forgotten about ourselves and our mental health, even how to appreciate the little things around us. We turned all our attention to we believe might be the cure to productivity. Having fun isn’t a complete waste of time, always need to remember how to encourage each other and take good care of our mental health. Here a few tips on how to take care of yourself and carefully increase your productivity during this period.

1) SET A DAILY ROUTINE
Yes, I know we are talking about relaxing but setting a daily routine really helps your mental health in a lot of ways. Following a daily structure of set routines would not only increase your productivity but give you some balance. Wake up, pray, eat, work and have fun.

2) EXERCISE. EXERCISE. EXERCISE.
I cannot emphasize this enough, exercising extremely helps your productivity levels. It helps you stay fit, active and energized all day long. you can easily find simple home work-outs on the internet or YouTube. Get out of bed today and start exercising!

3) LEARN SOMETHING NEW, SURPRISE YOURSELF!
I recently started relearning makeup, this has probably been the only thing that has immensely helped my mental health. Doing something I love calms me down in weird ways, take this time to explore yourself. Maybe there is something you have always wanted to learn or try but you put it off because of work, this is the perfect time to reignite that passion!

4) TAKE A BREAK. YOU DESERVE IT!
You might probably feel bad about it, but take that break. Pause and recuperate, give yourself sometime to think, relax and reflex. Taking some “me-time” wouldn’t kill anyone, throw on that face mask and have a mini spa day or watch a movie, just do something fun and enjoy yourself. You only live once!

If you have gotten to the end of the article, I hope you enjoyed it and learnt something new. Everything might seem daunting and uncertain right now, but please use this period to re-discover yourself and flourish in ways beyond our imagination. Stay safe, Stay happy and Stay indoors. We would get through this together.
